Smith-Williams legacy
On August 23, 2000, I lost my cubs, Arnold Smith-Williams, two months after his 19th birthday and my nephew, Carl Williams.

In 2003, I became a Violence Interrupter for the Morrisania, Butler, and Webster NYCHA. Ms. Islar (Senior Outreach Manager and Violence Interrupter) and I stand shoulder to shoulder with the Melrose Community residents, who were suffering from becoming surplus labor, job losses due to technology (automation replacing employment), lack of affordable housing shortages, breathing problems due to I-95, massive food disparities, technology barriers including remote learning, and COVID challenges.
